1. It’s recommended to do light stretching exercises before any hiking. Flexing muscles will prevent them from an potential damage;

11. Make sure everyone is kept well hydrated and drink plenty of water. It is recommended to drink plenty of water before you start so you are hydrated continuously;
12. Pack some high carbohydrate foods for energy. Food such as chocolate, energy bars and fruit are ideal. This will keep you going for a good while.
